Shenandoah Caverns has thrilled visitors for 100 years and is located less than 2 hours from the DC metro area in the heart of the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. YES! They have a picnic parking area in the lower level - as you pull into the parking lot, circle around the parking lot past the the dumpster up top and park down below. Best to call them …

YES! They have a picnic parking area in the lower level - as you pull into the parking lot, circle around the parking lot past the the dumpster up top and park down below. Best to call them in advance as they Harvest Host and allow non Harvest Host guests to overnight, all they require is that you pay to tour the caverns!

I don’t recall her name. The guides are employees of the caverns. They all appeared to be young locals who have been giving tours for years. Great tour!!!

Hello, We really enjoyed the Shenandoah Caverns. The Luray Caverns appear they would be fantastic as well. The Shenandoah Caverns have an Elevator which was good for me as I was traveling with a broken foot. I don't think you could go wrong with either. Also the Shenandoah Caverns had a Groupon which might be available.
