According to their website, trails & barn are open to public by donation. They are a non-profit organization, so they depend upon the donations. They have other programs both for children and adults on all kinds of topics and they DO charge for those special programs. But only donations to walk the trails & visit the barn.

I agree with Rick. There's no reason why not, except for the question how much a 10 month old would get out of it. There is certainly lots of stuff to see (animals and whatnot), and it's stroller-friendly. When I was there in June with my 15 month-old granddaughter, I saw lots of couples with children younger than that, and all seemed to be having a good time.
