Great place to visit and sniff some ancient culture, nice walk amongst ruins and well kept grounds. Restaurant is so-so but it's the only place around.Full review by 448geertjanv

I think it would be difficult to go to both Hue and My Son in one day. Hue is about 2 hours north of Hoi An and My Son is perhaps 1 hour to the south. I think if I had to choose between the two, I'd choose Hue, as it offers more to do. Incidentally, the rode from Hue to Hoi An is a magnificent piece of engineering - II advise you to either go up to Hue or back to Hoi An by bus so you can enjoy this fantastic road. We went up by train and back down by bus. Chris
Hi we've been to Angkor Wat in Cambodia a view weeks ago and now passing My Son. We're not sure if it's worth it to stop at My Son if we already saw Angkor Wat, because it actually looks pretty similar. Maybe we're wrong with this assumption. What do you guys think about?

Can't answer that question since I have not been to Angkor Wat. Just in passing with others who have been to both, My Son is smaller. Some of the artifacts have been taken to Danang and displayed there; great addition to the knowledge of My Son and Angkor Wat if you happen to be in Danang. Chinese tourists have not yet descended on My Son when were there, but supposedly will coming in droves beginning in Apr and May predicted by the Vietnamese.
Hi, we will have a driver taking us from Hoi An to My Son. Can anyone recommend a scenic route to take back? Is there anything else we might like to call in and see on the way back? Can anyone recommend a nice restaurant or cafe to visit on the way back?
