President Donald Trump on Wednesday delivered a subtle punch at India in announcing a trade deal with its rival Pakistan after slapping India with 25% tariffs over the country’s ties to U.S. rival Russia.

The agreement comes after other American allies, like Japan, clinched their own deals to partly moderate President Trump’s tariff threats.

Trump has announced a new trade agreement with South Korea, calling it a “full and complete” deal that lowers tariffs on imports from the country to 15 per cent.
