DENVER (AP) — Thieves nabbed a pair of high-priced bulldogs from a Colorado pet store after a man allegedly faked a seizure to distract employees while an accomplice grabbed the puppies from a pen and ran out, authorities said.

Three men walked into the Centennial pet store and asked the employees questions about the bulldog puppies, each worth $4,300, before staging the distraction, sheriff’s officials said.

Several suspects worked together to steal two bulldog puppies from a pet store, with one of them faking a medical episode to create a distraction.
