Nearly 500 Elizabeth line drivers are walking out for four days at the end of February and into March after Aslef members voted overwhelmingly in favour of taking industrial action.

Train drivers on London's Elizabeth line are to stage a series of strikes in a dispute over pay with their employer MTR, their union Aslef has announced. Almost 500 drivers will walk out on 27 February and on 1, 8 and 10 March.

Due to a pay dispute, Elizabeth line train drivers are set to strike on four separate days over the next two months.

Aslef union believes train drivers' employer, MRT, won't negotiate because it is being replaced by Tokyo Metro.

Elizabeth line drivers have voted to go on strike on four dates starting at the end of February. The industrial action was announced by ASLEF after drivers voted overwhelmingly to walk out.

Aslef workers employed by MTR on the popular line, which runs through central London, will walk out on four dates.
