A representative for reality TV star Chase Chrisley has denied an allegation that his client assaulted the manager of a popular Atlanta sports bar last week after refusing to leave.

Chase Chrisley was charged on Jan. 9 with simple assault on a manager at an Atlanta bar. In a statement shared with PEOPLE, his attorneys said that "this incident has been entirely blown out of proportion.
