Orlando Arcia got things started with a solo homer in the third — his first of the 2025 season — to give the Rockies a 1-0 lead. He was signed just three days ago, and has taken no time getting settled into this lineup. He has gone 3-for-6 with the homer so far in two games against the Cubs and Mets.

It happened again on Sunday. Lindor’s fifth-inning, tiebreaking solo blast was also the game-winner as the Mets finished a three-game sweep of Colorado with a 5-3 victory before a sellout crowd of 43,224 at Citi Field.

The Colorado Rockies are on track to become the owners of the worst season ever recorded in the history of the MLB.

As a corresponding roster move, the Rockies have selected the contract of infielder Keston Hirua from Triple-A Albuquerque. He will wear no. 7 on his jersey and join the team in New York.
