Hoosiers On SI sat down with new Indiana basketball Darian DeVries on Friday. One topic was how he embraces the Indiana tradition.

"Right now it's about putting a staff and a roster together," DeVries said. "Certainly it's been well received. Everybody is excited about Indiana basketball. As you know, it's one of the biggest brands in this sport. We're excited about assembling this group and looking forward to seeing what it looks like when it all comes out in the end."

New Indiana coach Darian DeVries' six-year contract will pay him at least $27 million, according to the binding term sheet DeVries signed in March when he accepted the job.
