The Dodgers have long been considered one of the favorites to sign Japanese right-hander Roki Sasaki. They recently became the sixth team known to have an in-person gathering with Sasaki, according to Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register.

Japanese pitcher Roki Sasaki reportedly told teams to not include players in his visits that took place this offseason.

Roki Sasaki is set to join the MLB next year, and the Padres are predicted to outrun the Dodgers in the race to sign the Japanese star.
