Former Monterey County teacher arrested, allegedly had relationship with student
Mika Yoneda, 25, worked at North Monterey County High as a teacher in 2022 and left in 2023. Before her arrest, Yoneda was employed at Woodland High School as an English teacher. The student reported the relationship to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office which led to her arrest, according to a news release sent out by the sheriff’s office.
