After publicly insulting Miss Mexico during a live Miss Universe event, Miss Thailand Director Nawat Itsaragrisil is facing major backlash.

The Miss Universe Organization restricted Nawat Itsaragrisil after a viral exchange with Fatima Bosch involving an alleged insult in Thailand

Miss Universe contestants barged out of a pre-pageant event as they protested an executive who called one contender a “dummy” and ordered her removal during a heated exchange caught on camera.

In May, Rachel Gupta revealed that she was 'pinched, asked to lose weight, and body-shamed' during her tenure as Miss Grand International 2024. Days after her resignation, Instagram posts by Nawat Itsaragrisil surfaced in which he accused Gupta of undergoing surgery and mocked her appearance.

Following delegate walkouts amid reports of internal 'friction' and criticism of Miss Mexico, Miss Universe Thailand Director Nawat Itsaragrisil held a live session to address the crisis.
