A First Alert Weather Day has been issued through 2 a.m. Sunday due to the threat of heavy rain and strong-to-severe thunderstorms.

Severe Storms possible Sunday & Monday. Storms can produce winds up to 50 MPH and hail. An isolated tornado is possible along the coast. Hot temperatures continue through the work week.

Severe storms have developed on Saturday afternoon in Alabama, and more will be possible through this evening. The National Weather Service said damaging wind gusts, hail and heavy rain will be possible with the strongest storms.

Severe weather threatens the Austin area beginning Friday afternoon. Storms could produce hail, damaging wind gusts, flooding and an isolated tornado.

Storms containing large hail, damaging winds and even an isolated tornado will be possible with the threats lasting into the evening.
