The Tigers, who improved to 3-0 in the Clemson Baseball Invitational, upped their record to 5-1 on the season, while the Rams, who dropped to 0-2 in the Clemson Baseball Invitational, fell to 1-5 in 2025.

Dominic Listi and Josh Paino had clutch hits for No. 8 Clemson while pitchers Aiden Knaak and Drew Titsworth shined as the Tigers beat VCU.

It won't feel like springtime when Clemson baseball takes the field this weekend at Doug Kingsmore Stadium, but today is nevertheless the home opener for coach Erik Bakich's team. The Tigers (2-1 overall) face VCU in the Clemson Baseball Invitational today and are scheduled to play two games against both the Rams (1-3) and North Carolina A&T (2-0) in this weekend's round robin tournament.
