There's no easing into the Big 12 schedule for the West Virginia Mountaineers as they'll square off with the seventh-ranked Kansas Jayhawks on Tuesday afternoon

The Mountaineers won at Allen Fieldhouse for the first time in 12 tries, ending the Jayhawks' 33-year winning streak in conference openers.

The Jayhawks, who opened as double-digit favorites over the Mountaineers, were outplayed in most aspects, falling behind by as many as 18 points. By the time KU recovered, it was too late; the Jayhawks’ wild comeback bid fell short.
