The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory for the area, saying slippery roads could impact the morning commute.
Rain showers will begin this afternoon but quickly change to snow showers, with total accumulations between 2 and 5 inches expected across Northeast Ohio on Wednesday afternoon going into Thursday.
The advisory was active for St. Clair, Livingston, Oakland, Macomb, Washtenaw, Wayne, Lenawee and Monroe counties.
