Arizona saw a largely smooth day of voting as of Tuesday afternoon, save for technical issues and long lines in the northeastern corner of the state.

In the final press conference by Maricopa County before Election Day, officials stressed the importance of trusted sources and patience as the state and county once again take center stage in a divisive election.

Only one issue appeared to mar the otherwise calm Election Day. Apache County, located along the state's north and eastern borders with Utah, Colorado and New Mexico, experienced problems with its electronic pollbooks and printers on Tuesday morning. That led to long lines and concerns from tribal officials.
