USC head coach Eric Musselman was highly complimentary of Wisconsin, its caliber and depth, and guard John Blackwell (28 points) when meeting with the media postgame.

John Blackwell finished with 28 points and Max Klesmit added 18 for the Badgers, who defeated the Trojans, 86-69, Saturday at Galen Center.

The Badgers lost almost all of a 17-point halftime lead, but hit on 25 of 28 free throw attempts and posted 70-68 win over the Buckeyes.

Wisconsin basketball (15-3, 5-2 Big Ten) stretched its win streak to seven games with an 84-69 victory against the USC Trojans (11-7, 3-4 Big Ten) on Saturday.

The Buckeyes shot a woeful 32.1% from the field in the first half, but hit over half their field goals (51.6%) in the second half, helping them get back into the game.

It managed 84 points in the win over USC despite leading scorer John Tonje finishing with zero points on 0-of-3 shooting. That output proved its depth of quality contributors, as John Blackwell (28 points) and Max Klesmit (18 points) led the way.
