Jackie, the beloved mother eagle prominently featured in Big Bear’s live bald eagle nest cam, is thought to have been injured after a pair of subadult bald eagles were seen attacking an eagle in the area.
Despite tragedy, injuries and setbacks, this young eagle is beginning to use her wings. Rehabbers are seeing “excellent signs that Snow is on her way to being a well-functioning wild eagle,” Wildside Rehabilitation and Education Center said in an update on social media.
