The Calgary Flames headed into the Christmas break on the wrong end of the Battle of Alberta, falling 5–1 to the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday night at Rogers Place.

The Battle of Alberta is so back. On Tuesday evening, the Edmonton Oilers and the Calgary Flames were not in a festive mood on Festivus, as the Oilers beat their division rivals 5-1.

The sixth-place squad in the Western Conference, the Edmonton Oilers (18-13-6), host the 13th-ranked Calgary Flames (15-17-4) at Rogers Place on Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET. Edmonton won 4-3 at home its last time out on Dec. 21 against the Vegas Golden Knights. In its last game on Dec. 20, Calgary secured a 6-3 home victory over the Vegas Golden Knights.

The Edmonton Oilers (17-13-6) host the Calgary Flames (15-17-4) at Rogers Place on Tuesday. The odds on this game have Calgary at +132 while Edmonton is priced at -160. The total is 6.5.

MacKenzie Weegar certainly has a case for the most creative way to be tossed from an NHL game. Midway through the Calgary Flames’ game against the Edmonton Oilers Tuesday night, the defenseman was ejected after banging his stick against the glass while in the penalty box.
