The high winds Friday impacted the entire Northeast Ohio region — including power outages, fires, and downed trees.
The National Weather Service in Wilmington says high winds on March 13 may down trees and power lines in much of central Ohio. Gusts up to 60 mph.
Though the National Weather Service forecasted wind gusts upwards of 60 mph on Friday, one local city recorded 77 mph winds -- as strong as a Category 1 hurricane, according to FOX 8 meteorologists.
