Disney is officially setting a timeline for the end of Hulu as a standalone streaming service. After announcing a $438 million buyout of Comcast’s stake in Hulu in 2025, Disney outlined plans to integrate the app into the Disney+ entertainment hub. However, Disney initially said the integration would be complete in early 2026.

There are apparently changes to Disney’s timeline for shuttering the Hulu app and merging its content into Disney+. Speaking at Disney’s Q1 2026 earnings and investor call, Disney’s Chief Executive Bob Iger said the content merger will take place before the end of the calendar year.
