American flags are flying half-staff in New Jersey and across the U.S. today, Nov. 20, remaining lowered during Vice President Dick Cheney's funeral today in Washington, D.C. Cheney, best known as the " War on Terror " architect who turned President Donald Trump critic, died at the age of 84 on Nov. 3.

Flags will be raised at sunset on Thursday, after the funeral for former Vice President Dick Cheney. The public can watch the service online.

Flags have been flying at half-staff for former Vice President Richard "Dick" Cheney, who died died Nov. 3. Flags will continue to fly at half-staff until Cheney's interment, in accordance with the U.S. Flag Code. Cheney's funeral is scheduled to take place Thursday, Nov. 20, and will be livestreamed by USA Today.
