A man who authorities say may have been ice fishing was found dead in Cherry Creek Reservoir on Tuesday. The reservoir is located in Cherry Creek State Park in the southeastern part of the Denver metro area.

The body of a deceased ice fisherman was pulled from the Cherry Creek Reservoir on Tuesday afternoon.

The man's body was found near the reservoir spillway Tuesday afternoon, the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office said.

Ice conditions at Cherry Creek State Park are “pretty dicey” after recent warm weather spell, Colorado Parks and Wildlife spokesperson said.

First responders and law enforcement were at the Cherry Creek Reservoir on Tuesday afternoon for a death investigation.
