The Atlanta Braves obtained right-hander Erick Fedde from the St. Louis Cardinals on Sunday for a player to be named later or cash considerations. Fedde is 3-10 with a 5.22 ERA in 20 starts for the Cardinals this season.

The Cardinals had a reasonable plan with starting pitcher Erick Fedde. President of baseball operations John Mozeliak hoped the team would stay competitive during his farewell season. Keeping Fedde would help the team do that while also allowing the organization’s pitching prospects to develop without rushing.
