Aitana Bonmati broke Switzerland’s resistance as Spain reached the Euro 2025 semi-finals despite missing two penalties in their win over the hosts in Bern. The world champions failed to score in the first half for the first time this tournament and were frustrated by an organised Switzerland side after Mariona Caldentey pulled an eighth-minute penalty wide of goal.
A new night train will be running from Switzerland to Sweden next year. The Federal Transport Office says it will subsidize the train from Basel to Malmö – running through Copenhagen. The money will come from the fund created by the CO2 law designed to cut carbon emissions.
