Pretty much the first thought on everyone’s mind when it was confirmed that Bachelor in Paradise was getting a little “Golden” for its 10th season was whether or not we would see the age barrier broken for some smooching between the youngs and the olds.
Jill Chin is the only person who went home, but it wasn't because she didn't get a rose. The episode ended before we got to see a Rose Ceremony, but the previews for next week did reveal that a couple could leave paradise with $500,000. Even without a Rose Ceremony, there was still plenty of drama to be had this week.

It may be true that Mel Owens will change his mind on dating women over 60 when he meets the contestants on his season, which is set to film this summer and air in the fall. For me, though, this threatens to put a damper on the Golden spinoffs, which have so far celebrated living life to the fullest at any age.
Despite how low-key the bachelorette is, it nevertheless totals $500 per person, which is well outside what the single mom can afford. "I told them I could not afford that and instead could compromise and let them know which events I can participate in ," she said. "This did not go over well."
