The Tigers look to make a hard push heading into the Midsummer Classic, as they hope to stay at the top of the Major League Baseball standings before Monday. They are riding high thanks to a stretch of good play, having swept the Cleveland Guardians, on the road, last weekend, before taking two of three from the Tampa Bay Rays earlier in the week.
AJ Hinch and Co. enter the off-week having split their last 10 games evenly, though a sweep at home at the hands of the Seattle Mariners — who outscored the home team 35-14 in the three-game set — gives them a four-game skid heading into the break. Needless to say, the natives are getting restless, but how justified are their concerns?
