TikTok is rolling out a new feature called Footnotes in the United States, enabling users to add community-rated context to their videos.

TikTok on Wednesday announced a series of new safety, family and content features in addition to a community fact-checking tool similar to what's found on X and Facebook.

TikTok is officially rolling out Footnotes, a community fact-checking program that’s supposed to add helpful context to videos. With this update, US-based users will start seeing Footnotes on videos in the coming weeks, and will also get the option to rate them.
