No. 8 seed Tennessee (43-15) defeated No. 1 seed Texas (42-12), 7-5 in 12 innings, Thursday in the SEC Tournament quarterfinals at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium in Hoover, Alabama. The Vols have won six consecutive games in the SEC Tournament.

To limit outside distractions, Vitello says he tells the Vols to "keep your eyes off social media and your ears shut unless we're just hanging out in the locker room."
