MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - Nearly 60 athletes braved the weather to compete during the Special Olympics Michigan Area 36 U.P. Regional Winter Games on Saturday. athletes gathered at Rippling River Resort to watch the opening ceremony. Athletes then competed in snowshoeing, alpine skiing and cross-country skiing.
