Manchester United were condemned to a fourth loss in five home games as Brighton breezed past the Red Devils at Old Trafford. The visitors took an early lead through Yankuba Minteh, but this was cancelled out midway through the first-half as Bruno Fernandes levelled from the spot.

Late goals from Mitoma and Rutter handed Brighton their first win at Old Trafford since 2022 and deepened United’s crisis.
