The Treasury Department Thursday imposed new sanctions on an international oil network it said ships hundreds of millions of dollars of oil to China. The funds allegedly benefit Iran's military.

According to the state department, the sanctions target a network that is bringing “illicit revenue to the Iranian military” through a front company, Sepehr Energy. Also included are a shadow tanker fleet and management companies that facilitate the supply of oil to China,

The U.S. Treasury said on Thursday it is imposing new sanctions on individuals and tankers helping to ship millions of barrels of Iranian crude oil per year to China. The move comes after U.S. President Donald Trump earlier this week vowed to bring Iran's oil exports to zero as the U.

The reversal reflects the challenge that shipping and delivery companies will face as a result of President Trump’s executive order requiring greater inspection of packages.

The U.S. Postal Service will temporarily suspend accepting inbound parcels from China and Hong Kong Posts until further notice.

In a matter of hours, USPS suspended and then resumed accepting packages from China and Hong Kong after Trump's tariffs went into effect.
