General Motors and LG Energy Solution are poised to launch a new era for electric vehicles with the commercial release of lithium manganese-rich (LMR) prismatic battery

GM says it has developed cells that will make batteries cheaper and more energy dense. The automaker aims to be the first to bring them to market.
