Don Rollins, a native of Vidor and Grammy award winner for co-writing the hit country song “It’s 5 O’clock Somewhere” has died. He was 63.

Rollins was most notably the pen behind Alan Jackson's 2003 hit "It's Five O'clock Somewhere", and took home a Grammy for Best Country Song of 2003.

We will deeply miss our great friend Don Rollins, who is a member of the 5 O'clock Somewhere Music Hall of Fame. Rest in peace, our friend.
