The first image has been released for Richard Linklater's Blue Moon, teasing an interaction between Margaret Qualley and Ethan Hawke's characters.

Qualley’s admiration for Linklater was cemented with his 2014 feature “Boyhood,” which felt especially personal to Qualley as she was the same age as its lead character. Oscar-nominated “ Boyhood ” was filmed across 12 years, with Ethan Hawke and Patricia Arquette starring. The feature was nominated for six Academy Awards, including Best Picture.

Margaret Qualley was thrilled to get to work with Richard Linklater on 'Blue Moon' because she has long been a fan of the director.

Blue Moon' sees Linklater reuniting with his frequent collaborator, actor Ethan Hawke. The festival will also see the return of German filmmaker Tom Tykwer after a brief hiatus
