The Texas Volleyball team had the Kentucky Wildcats at match point twice, but the Wildcats roared back to win finals of the SEC Tournament.

Currently, Texas A&M is ninth in RPI rankings, after previously being ranked No. 11; the top four seeds get to host regional rounds and the top four in RPI, a key metric used by the committee, spots are by undefeated Nebraska, Texas, Arizona State and Kentucky.
