Those around the team have questions, and they are all being directed at Coach Todd Bowles. Bowles had originally attempted to dismiss the severity of the issues for the Bucs' All-Pro tackle, but it quickly became apparent that there was a Transformers situation where there was more than meets the eye.

The Bucs already will start camp without left tackle Tristan Wirfs, who underwent knee surgery July 8. Wirfs is expected to miss the preseason and at least two regular-season games after the arthroscopic procedure. He is a candidate to begin the regular season on the “physically unable to perform (PUP)” list.
