Cody Balmer, accused of burning the Pennsylvania Governor's Residence, had "political motivation" connected to the conflict in Gaza, documents say.

In a roughly minute-long phone call to Dauphin County 911, the man accused of setting three fires in Gov. Josh Shapiro’s official residence told dispatchers Pennsylvania’s chief executive needed to leave his family and friends alone.

Cody Balmer had in recent years struggled with problems in his home life as well as issues stemming from problems covering his own home mortgage, according to court records reviewed by ABC News.
