Kyle Manzardo and Angel Martínez hit RBI doubles in Cleveland’s four-run 10th inning, helping the Guardians beat the Detroit Tigers for the third straight game, 7-5.

Kyle Manzardo started the 10th with a double into the left field corner off Brenan Hanifee (2-2) to score Ramirez, the automatic runner at second, for a 4-3 lead. After Carlos Santana walked, Angel Martinez doubled to score Manzardo. A sacrifice fly by Bo Naylor and single by Nolan Jones ended the scoring.

It felt like the Tigers were waiting around to die Saturday night. Finally, in the 10th inning, the Guardians obliged them.

Cleveland Guardians first baseman Carlos Santana was scratched from the lineup against the Detroit Tigers with tightness in his left leg. The Guardians rested Santana as a precaution in the series finale that started Sunday morning after an extra-inning win in Detroit on Sunday night.

When Nic Enright was diagnosed with Stage II nodular lymphocyte predominant Hodgkin lymphoma in December of 2022, he didn't know if his baseball career would continue, let alone reach The Show. However, the Cleveland Guardians pitcher battled back and pitched in minor league games one season later.
