SURPRISE, Ariz. — The Texas Rangers signed veteran outfielder Kevin Pillar to a minor league contract with an invite to major league camp, the club announced Sunday morning.

Texas Rangers general manager Chris Young went out and added veteran outfielder Kevin Pillar to the club over the weekend, giving the Rangers another option in center field behind Evan Carter and Leody Taveras.

Kevin Pillar will continue his baseball journey as a player. The veteran outfielder was at some point in 2024 believed he was going to retire, but that clearly isn’t his final decision yet, as Pillar just signed a minor league deal with the Texas Rangers,
