Johnny Herbert believes Max Verstappen was “unprofessional and disrespectful” on the Saudi Arabian GP podium after finishing second to Oscar Piastri on Sunday. Former F1 race winner Herbert added that Verstappen should have been given a 10-second penalty for the incident at turn one on lap one with Piastri, instead of a five-second penalty.

With Verstappen starting on pole position, and Piastri alongside him on the front row, the two battled into the first corner after the McLaren driver got a tremendous start off the line. Verstappen managed to hold onto the position,

McLaren have been backed to side with Oscar Piastri after he showed he is capable of outwitting Max Verstappen at the F1 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. Piastri claimed his third victory in five races with another outstanding drive in Jeddah to move into the lead of the world championship by 10 points from his McLaren teammate Lando Norris.
