Portugal is supplying electricity to clients from its own sources as power exchanges with Spain remain suspended amid an inquiry into the causes of a blackout earlier this week, the energy minister said on Friday.

Spain's investigation into the power outage that blacked out the entire Iberian Peninsula this week continued Thursday as top security officials met Wednesday.

Alanna Gladstone, a 40-year-old film editor, had landed in Portugal’s capital, Lisbon, on a flight from New York hours before the outage. She checked into her Airbnb and took a nap; by the time she woke up, the technology that the country takes for granted had gone dark.
