Dearborn police are investigating the incident. In a press release, they said the 19-year-old female driver was shot and killed at approximately 9:45 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Tireman Avenue and West Morrow Circle.

Authorities in Macoupin County are investigating a deadly incident. Illinois State Police responded to reports of a potential road rage situation on Fosterburg Road Thursday afternoon. Officers discovered one person dead at the scene.

Police have arrested Dwayne McElroy following a traffic stop at approximately 10:56 P.M. Friday night. Salem Police observed the suspect’s vehicle on East Main Street in Salem and conducted a traffic stop. During the stop McElroy admitted to discharging a firearm, stating he had “shot that guy”.

The media release said no arrests have been made in the case, but ISP does not believe there is any threat to the public associated with the crash.
