Parts of the Southeast were experiencing potentially life-threatening flash floods Saturday as a severe weather system made its way across the country, also posing a risk of significant snow for the Upper Midwest and New England.

Strong tornadoes are possible across the South as storms pass through the Gulf Coast region. Some locations could see half a foot of rain, worsening flooding.

Severe storms in the South this weekend could lead to flash flooding and even tornadoes.

After hitting California, the same system will move across the country this weekend bringing another threat for heavy snow, flooding rain and significant severe thunderstorms.
