Former MTV VJ Matt Pinfield gave an update on his health after suffering a massive stroke in early January in a new interview.

Matt Pinfield is recovering from a stroke and says he intends to “come back swinging,” according to the Hollywood Reporter. The radio DJ and former MTV host told the trade magazine Thursday that he’d been released from intensive care after suffering the stroke in early January and that he was recovering in a Los Angeles rehab center.

Matt Pinfield suffered a stroke that left him in a coma. Today, The Hollywood Reporter revealed the media personality and former MTV VJ is awake and on his way to recovery.

The SoCal Sound host has been released from the ICU and is recovering currently in a rehabilitation center in Los Angeles.
