After an almost monthlong standoff between House Republicans and Democrats, lawmakers announce a new agreement

ST. PAUL — The Minnesota House DFL and Republican caucus put out a joint statement late Wednesday night that lawmakers have reached an agreement to organize the Minnesota House, effective Thursday, Feb. 6.

The Minnesota House is officially duly convened. DFL members returned to the chamber Thursday after a months-long holdout, where the party denied the chamber quorum in hopes of forcing a power-sharing agreement.
