This year the league implemented a new format, with the All-Stars drafted into three teams of eight players. They will face off with the winner of Friday night’s Rising Stars Challenge in a small, single-elimination tournament on Sunday night.

Montreal and Boston are the two sites for the games, with the championship being held at TD Garden in Beantown concluding the action. After three round-robin games, the two best teams in the standings will face off in the final of the 4 Nations Face-Off, hoping to emerge victorious for their home nation.

Though it had no chance of reaching the title game, Sweden capped off the 4 Nations Face-Off with a 2-1 victory over the United States on Monday. The United States struck first as Chris Kreider found the net just 35 seconds into the game.
