In an NHL Trade Talk weekend rumors update, the Edmonton Oilers and Vancouver Canucks could both lose a player for a game or two as Connor McDavid and Tyler Myers were given hearings by the NHL Player Safety Committee after two crosschecks that occurred late in Saturday night’s game.

Donnie & Dhali’s Rick Dhaliwal highlighted that there has not been a request or demand for a trade from Miller or his camp: Canucks are trying to move Miller but Miller’s agent Brian Bartlett tells me his client never went to the team and requested or demanded a trade.

Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman reported that the New York Rangers and Vancouver Canucks were progressing on a deal for J.T. Miller before everything ultimately fell through. However, he did not divulge the reasoning behind why trade was nixed.
