A fire in the small Arizona community of Greer in the eastern part of the state prompted evacuations after it grew to 3,500 acres in one day.

Authorities in Arizona identified a hiker who died during extreme heat in the Superstition Mountains on Sunday as 33-year-old Noah Farabaugh.

Firefighters say a train engine in Flagstaff overheated on May 15, sending a thick plume of smoke into the air.
